CURRENT INSTALLATION

Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP) and Art on the BeltLine are sponsoring Apparitions, a temporary installation of five inwardly facing billboard erected in a grove of trees along the BeltLine in Atlanta. During the autumn months of 2013, different set of images have been and will be installed on the billboard facades. In the first phase the billboards were covered with images of blank billboards from the Interstate 50 Series. The second phase currently features photographed views that the structures obstruct of the site.  The third phase will feature images of General Sherman’s eyes  as an inverted variation of the Cyclorama. The project is located a quarter mile north of the intersection of 10th and Monroe on the BeltLine adjacent to Piedmont Park.  The exact location of the installation site is shown here. Audio interview on BURNAWAY. For more information on the project visit the ACP website.
